Whatever the reasoning behind your love story, you’ll need to prepare adequately for it to ensure you reach your desired outcome. From being a professional international wedding photographer for some time now, I can suggest that organization is absolutely everything.

1.Prepare possible locations and outfits

Upon arrival, you’ll want to prepare your outfits and have a good idea about where you’ll want your love story to take place.

First, let’s start with the location, as this may hugely narrow down your outfit selection. Before arriving at your international love story session, you’ll want to have a somewhat set idea about where you want the photos. By having this knowledge, you can choose your outfits accordingly.

For example, a couple wanting a city-style love story will wear something rather different than a beach-themed one.

When you’ve decided where you’re going to take your photos, you’ll then need to finalize your outfit choice before traveling. If you can, prepare your outfits before arrival, as purchasing them at your end destination might not be feasible.

In this event, variety is good, but two or three outfits is more than enough. However, when choosing clothing be sure to wear something that makes you feel confident, complements each other’s outfits without matching, and think about the season you’re heading to.

2.Have a solidified understanding of your reasoning  

We briefly mentioned this above, but you need to have a reason for the photoshoot. After all, it’s a love story, and it should have some representation of your companionship. From being an international wedding photographer for some years now, I’ve seen various themed weddings, love stories, and just photoshoots in general.

Needless to say, it’s crucial to develop a concept before arriving at your photoshoot. An excellent way to plan your reasoning behind the shoot may include how you met each other, things you enjoy doing together, or other memorable actions you’ve undergone as a couple.

A great example of this would be location. For instance, if you met your loved one on a camping trip, on a beach holiday, or even in the city, it may be good to develop a love story based around those environments. By doing this, you’ll create a much deeper meaning behind the shoot, and it’ll undoubtedly make it more memorable.

3.Don’t stress. It’s meant to be fun

For some people having your photo taken is a nightmare. This is understandable, but you should really try to keep the mood light when thinking and undergoing the photoshoot. Try to calm your nerve, it’s meant to be fun, so embrace yourself and enjoy each other’s company.

If either partner is looking up to the photo session, talk to them about it and implement some practice runs at home. By doing this, you can figure out the comfort zones both you and your spouse have, and it’ll make the photography session much more seamless.
